Well it's almost that time again where you either sensibly keep your wallet in your pocket or you treat yourself to a gizmo of some sort.
 
Optus has released a new Android-based low-powered tablet for a reasonable price with decent specs.

Price $299 in store or $269 via the online Optus store.  You wouldn't be tied to any contract if you purchased one.
